Dishes as Decor: Transforming Your Home with Affordable Botanical Elegance

In the enchanting world of home decor, there exists a delightful secret that combines functionality with aesthetic charm: using dishes as decor. Raise your hand if you’re as smitten with this idea as I am! (Mine is raised high, I assure you.) Recently, I stumbled upon the most adorable collection of dishes at Walmart, and I simply couldn’t wait to share them with you. And the best part? They’re incredibly budget – friendly, all without any sponsorship or gifting involved.

As we’ve been chatting about the art of hanging plates and using platters to beautify our spaces, these new finds seemed like the perfect topic to explore. Truth be told, when I first laid eyes on this set, my excitement was more about using them to adorn my shelves rather than for everyday serving. Crafted from bamboo melamine, while I typically steer clear of plastic for daily food service, I was reassured to learn that these are BPA – free. This makes them an ideal choice for summer outdoor entertaining or as extra plates when hosting a large gathering. So, not only did I have decorating in mind, but I also purchased a few pieces with practical summer serving in mind.

Walmart, in collaboration with Better Homes + Gardens, truly outdid themselves with this collection. The design is nothing short of spectacular, and I couldn’t resist adding several items to my cart. Here’s what I ordered: a charming chip and dip tray, a complete 12 – piece dinnerware set, three lovely serving trays, and a spacious serving bowl.

I regret not picking up some of the other items, like that adorable basket caddy. It’s easy to overlook certain pieces during the ordering process, so I highly recommend using the provided link to ensure you don’t miss out on any treasures. I specifically bought three of the platters, envisioning how beautiful they would look displayed on shelves or perched on a plate stand on the kitchen counter. And let me tell you, they’re even more stunning in person!

Now that my new dishes have arrived, I’m eager to start experimenting with different styling ideas. Be sure to stay tuned, as you’ll likely see these beauties make another appearance in my decor adventures. But I wanted to share them with you right away, just in case they have limited stock.

Here are some quick and easy decorating ideas to get your creative juices flowing. Picture the platters arranged across a kitchen shelf, creating a visually appealing display. Or, consider hanging them on the wall for a unique and eye – catching focal point. The best part? You won’t have to worry about them breaking if they accidentally fall! Bowls can be stacked on shelves, adding texture and a touch of elegance to your space. It’s a simple yet affordable way to elevate your home decor.

My personal favorite approach to decorating is using items that we not only love but also use in our daily lives. Dishes, in this case, perfectly embody this philosophy, as they can be both practical and pretty. And even if these particular dishes eventually go out of stock or don’t suit your personal style, don’t forget to keep an eye out at second – hand stores. You might just discover hidden gems that will become the stars of your decor.

This collection comes in two beautiful colors, and I opted for the serene blue. If you’re as in love with these dishes as I am, I highly recommend rushing to grab them while they’re still available. You can choose to buy individual pieces or go for a larger set, depending on your needs and preferences.

To get a better look at these dishes in action, you can watch a video on my LTK page. And while you’re at it, I strongly suggest downloading the LTK app. It’s my go – to place for sharing my favorite finds every day. I’ve been using it for years, and it just keeps getting better. It’s incredibly user – friendly, allowing you to easily browse the items I add and shop directly from the app. Since I can’t always create a blog post or send out a newsletter fast enough to notify you of all the amazing deals and discoveries, the app ensures you’re the first to know when I share something I think you’ll love.

Last but certainly not least, I invite you to join our HomeBody Gathering Place. It’s a haven where we focus on creating sanctuaries in our homes. Every week, we offer what we call Home Therapy, along with a wealth of beautiful and inspiring resources to simplify the decorating process and help you find more joy in your living space. All of these resources are organized in our HomeBody Library, which you’ll have full access to as a member.

It’s the perfect place to ask decorating and home – creating questions, seek advice, and share your ideas. We all speak the same “home love language” here, and the supportive community is truly wonderful. You can even post photos of your home or projects in our HomeBody Facebook community. I offer Home Therapy each week to inspire you, and I’m always available to offer ideas and suggestions.
